Zuria, Sciaccarellu "Aria Rouge" Corsica, France 2022

Christian and Nadine Zuria are vignerons on a mission to revive one of the greatest terroirs of Corsica: Bonifacio. Their wish was to revive this exceptional clay-limestone terroir, to represent the renewal of a vanished and formerly flourishing culture and to produce atypical wines in Corsica.

Perched on a high and windy limestone plateau overlooking the Mediterranean, the vineyards are planted with indigenous varietals - Sciaccarellu, Moresconu, Vermentinu, Genovese and Biancu Gentile. While the farming is converting to biodynamics, the winemaking is hands off with the intention to reveal the mineral beauty and energy of this place. 

"Aria" is from the youngest Sciaccarellu vines planted on Domaine Zuria's granitic soil in Longa Valley and San Giuliano. Aged in stainless steel.
