Ricci Curbastro Franciacorta Brut NV
60% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Blanc, 9% Pinot Noir, 1% Erbamat
Brilliant straw yellow with rich, abundant foam and a fine persistent bead. The nose is slightly floral, elegant, and notably intense with notes of yeast and freshly baked bread. The palate is structured, but smooth and creamy, even in its dry texture, with fruity notes and a long-balanced finish.
Farming is organic. Ages on the lees for at least 24 months (32 months total from harvest) followed by several months in bottle before release.
Since the 13th century, the Ricci Curbastro family has run the Rontana farm estate in Brisighella (Ravenna), and the Capriolo estate in Franciacorta (Brescia) following long-standing agricultural traditions. In 1967, Gualberto Ricci Curbastro, along with 11 other producers, helped establish the Franciacorta DOC. Now run by the 18th generation, the Ricci Curbastro estate balances those traditions with modern viticulture.
