Domaine Marcel Deiss, Pinot Noir, Alsace Rouge, France 2023

The Marcel Deiss Alsace Rouge is a certified biodynamic field blend of mostly Pinot Noir with a smaller proportion of Pinot Gris and Auxerrois. The grapes come from parcels in Bergheim, Saint Hippolyte, and Beblenheim, on terroirs of limestone, gravel, and granite.

The palate is light, peppery, bright, crunchy and red-fruited. Slightly rustic but also delicious and fresh-faced.

20% whole cluster. Aged in 80% stainless steel, 20% older barrels for 12 months. Unfined and unfiltered
