The year of 2015 brought an extraordinary vintage-year to Malatinszky Kuria Organic Wine Estate. The result of the endless sunshine and the work of the thoughtful winegrower is this Noblesse Cabernet Sauvignon. It was made from free run juice and aged in oaky barrel for 12 months. The wine represents all the beauty that we can expect from the varietal.
Csaba Malatinszky was a major force in the revitalization of the Villány wine region in the 1990s, after the fall of communism. The region is now world-famous for its fuller-bodied reds, and Malatinszky's "Noblesse" estate selection Cabernet Sauvignon from 2015 is a great example of this.
The wine is juicy and fruity, with flavors of red fruit compote, barbecue, cranberries, clay, red plums and prunes. Fermentation with native yeasts, and aging for 12 months in new and second-use 500 L Hungarian oak. Unfined and unfiltered, certified organic (2009) and vegan.
