Maison Noir "New Noir" Skin Contact Rosé, Oregon 2022
Maison Noir "New Noir" Skin Contact Rosé, Oregon 2022
Let us introduce you the newest "Child" of sommelier and winemaker André Hueston Mack. He is not only one of the first brilliant Black sommeliers, but also a great winemaker and an excellent entrepreneur. This skin contact or Orange wine is a blend of 50% Gewūrztraminer, 28% Pinot Gris, 12% Riesling, 5% Muscat and 5% Pinot Blanc — and will be your next favorite rosé for the summer.
With a Pinot Gris with extended skin contact, the 2022 vintage has a dark pink hue akin to an Italian Rosato.
Light to medium in body, the flavors of raspberry jam, peach compote and a very slight amount of citrus fruit create a perfect balance on the palate. On the finish you will enjoy a touch of saltiness which is probably due to the close proximity to the Pacific Ocean and which makes your palate beg for an another sip. Enjoy.
