The Waldschütz winery is located in Strass-Elsarn, at the beginning of the Kamptal. The idyllic region on the Kamp gives its name to an important wine-growing region that combines so many advantages that it can rightly be considered one of the most exciting in Austria.
The secrets of winemaking have been passed down from father to son for four generations. This created a very special bond with this piece of earth and the fruits it produces.
Since 2023, Markus Waldschütz has been leading the fortunes of the 35 hectare family winery as a trained winemaker and cellar master. After more than 35 years, Reinhard Waldschütz has handed over his parents' business to the next generation.
Together with his family, Markus Waldschütz succeeds year after year in creating natural, fruity, fresh wines that taste typical of the area. The range ranges from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling to Pinot Blanc.
