100% organic Chenin Blanc from vines planted in 1933 and 1952, coming from two plots in Brézé (sandy-clay soils over soft limestone bedrocks).
Sorted in the vineyards, pressed with whole clusters, ambient yeast fermentation, blocked malolactic conversion, aged for 15-18 months on the lees in demi-muids and/or barrels (new and 1-2 years old), blended and aged for an additional few months in steel tanks, filtered.
Domaine Guiberteau is a family estate located in the heart of the Loire, 12 kilometres south of Saumur. It consists of 17 hectares of vines that are between 5 and 80 years old and where only the Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc varieties are grown.
In 2003, Romain Guiberteau, who belongs to the fourth generation of the family and is the current manager of the Domaine, decided to implement organic agriculture for the cultivation of his vineyards, and in the plots the use of pesticides and herbicides is prohibited.
Domaine Guiberteau is in constant growth and is considered one of the best wineries in the denomination, thanks to the quality of the wines that it produces.
