Les Fiefs de Lagrange 2019 may surprise you with its harmony. The nose offers a subtle marriage of black and red fruit, peppered with spicy notes. The palate is generous, creamy and smooth. A pleasant freshness brings balance to this wine that could be approachable young. But make no mistake, this is a bottle that will also continue to amaze for the next 20 years.
Château Lagrange, Third Classified Growth in the 1855 classification, nestles in the heart of the renowned Saint-Julien appellation. Created in 1983, “les Fiefs de Lagrange” is so much more than a second wine. Produced from young vines (with an average age of 30 years) and planted on fine gravel soils for the Cabernet Sauvignon and clay for certain Merlots.
