Ruby red with purple reflections; on the nose a bouquet of wild fruit and plums. Crisp and direct on the palate, with very light tannin and a dry finish.

Dolcetto is a wine that is considered very typical of the Langhe. This young, dry red, with its intense and brilliant color, is enjoyed young and appreciated for its freshness and vitality. It is the ideal accompaniment to salumi and antipasti as well as to pasta, meat dishes, and raw vegetables.

Cascina Fontana is located in the heart of the Barolo wine zone in the small hamlet of Perno, near Monforte d’Alba and about 15 km from Alba. Here the Fontana family continue cultivating grapes and making wine as they have done for the past six generations. Today winemaker Mario Fontana continues this tradition, overseeing the entire cycle of production.
