Ladeiras do Xil, Godello "Gaba do Xil", Valdeorras, Galicia, Spain 2018

Hailing from Valdeorras (“Valley of Gold”) in eastern Galicia, this 100% Godello is named for the river Sil that flows through the region. Fermented in stainless steel tanks with native and selected yeasts, the wine is medium-bodied but sleek, crisp and mineral-driven, with green apple, lemon, and key lime aromas and flavors. The roundness of the mid-palate is what separates this grape variety from other crisp whites. The finish is round with matching acidity.
