Becheras's Crozes-Hermitage is produced from old vines situated on a steep hillside vineyard overlooking the village of Mercurol. This wine is both elegant and rustic, as it is unfined and unfiltered. A classic example of Syrah from the North Rhône, it is concentrated and savory, with flavors of cracked black pepper, leather, forest floor, black fruit, and spices. Smoky notes and smooth tannins; the long finish of dry herbs will linger in your mouth.
