58% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot

Deep crimson violet. The nose is powerful, taut, with hints of black fruit and plums. The palate imposes structure, with great freshness, a hint of very polished tannin, and an attractive elegance. Rich black fruit, graphite, and dried herbs.

Second label of Château Ducru Beaucaillou. This wine comes mostly from a single parcel in the northern part of the estate.

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is a well-regarded wine estate in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux's Haut-Médoc wine region, on the so-called "left bank" of the Gironde estuary. The estate and its eponymous grand vin (the estate's principle wine) was rated a second growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification.
