A monovarietal Chardonnay from Burgundy's Mâcon-Villages AOC.

Joseph Drouhin is a winery founded in 1880 and located in Beaune. It owns 78 hectares in the various subzones of Burgundy and also buys grapes and must from local producers. The winery practices organic agriculture in its vineyards.

The grapes for this wine come from vineyards in the south of Burgundy, near Pouilly-Fuissé. The soils originated in the Jurassic period and are of limestone and clay, optimal for the cultivation of Chardonnay.

This wine is made by pressing the grapes slowly to respect the fruit as much as possible and to avoid extracting herbal aromas and tastes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats with native yeasts and no commercial enzymes are used to make the wine. The wine ages on lees for a period of 6 to 8 months, also in stainless steel.

It is a fruity and floral wine, direct on the palate and pleasant. It has a mineral aroma and maintains a fruity and juicy character on the palate. Soft and light finish.
