Kirin Fuji Single Grain Japanese Whiskey 700ml

Kirin Fuji Single Grain Japanese Whiskey 700ml

Fuji Whisky is named after the most iconic landmark in Japan. Established in 1973 to bring the best of Japanese craftsmanship with Scottish, American and Canadian technology under one roof, it is the closest distillery in all of Japan to Mt. Fuji. It is also the only distillery to use Mt. Fuji snowmelt water in all processes of production. This water takes a 50-year journey from the peak of the mountain to the aquifer underneath the distillery; filtered and polished by Mother Nature, it is pure and soft.

Fuji Single Grain Whiskey is a blend of three different grain whiskeys. The different grain whiskies are distilled in three different methods and possess their own unique flavor profiles. Bourbon is heavier, rich, with a floral fruity style. Canadian is medium, luscious, and delicately fruity. Scotch is lighter, soft, yet compelling.

This Fuji Single Grain whiskey features the quintessential characteristics of each of the three types of grain whiskeys: delicately fruity, mellow and with a multi-layered profile.

On the nose, aromas of poached pear, rustic fruit tart, Cognac and marron glacé. On the palate, a smooth mouthfeel with multi-layered flavors of poached pear, orange marmalade, raspberry jam, spiciness of rye, and bitter chocolate. Water brings out red berries and a delicate spiciness reminiscent of rye bread and cinnamon. The finish is mellow with gentle sweetness and pleasant spiciness, with a smooth and moderately long aftertaste featuring a hint of exotic incense.
