100% Sauvignon Blanc

The Blanchet Pouilly-Fumé Cuvée Silice is a gorgeously pure and bright Sauvignon Blanc that shows a brilliant bouquet of lemon zest, nectarine, jasmine tea, and quince. The high percentage of silex in the terroir shines through with a distinct flinty note that adds complexity. The palate has plenty of verve, with notes of ginger, anjou pear, and wet stone. A clear vein of minerality keeps everything in balance.

The grapes are from 40+ year old vines, grown on 100% silex soils. Francis Blancet has the highest percentage of “silex” or “silice” soil in the entire Pouilly-Fumé appellation. With indigenous yeast, this wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel.

Domaine Francis Blanchet is a small 8ha estate situated in the quaint village of St. Andelain. Working alongside his son Mathieu, this is an 8th generation family of winegrowers in Pouilly-Fumé.
