In the vineyard...
This 46 ares parcel is constituted of a kind of terrace on a steep slope, in the middle of the hillside (275m). The shallow brown-limestone soil is mixed with pebbles, clayey silts and limes, on hard limestone. The vineyard is about forty years old and is in the prime of life to produce balanced and concentrated grapes.

In the glass...
This name comes from small wild plum trees with midnight blue berries that can be found in some wastelands and whose tannins cling to the gums. This Nuits is therefore a sensual and lively wine, with a rather masculine personality, which does not leave amateurs indifferent. Its power gives it an excellent aging potential. With age, it will develop aromas of dried prunes.

At the table...
It is perfect with regional dishes in sauce, such as ham à la nuitonne, as well as with large game such as a boar leg. Its tannic character adapts to a full-bodied and spicy cuisine.
