Venica & Venica, Sauvignon Blanc, Ronco del Cerò, Collio, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy 2020
Ronco del Cerò is the name of hill the current generation's great grandfather, Daniele Venica, bought in 1929 and his first site for Sauvignon Blanc. It is fermented on its lees entirely in stainless steel.
The different northern, southern and south-eastern exposures of the vineyards confer a broad olfactory spectrum. The southern orientation and the prolonged afternoon sunshine give clear warm and fruity notes of yellow peach and melon, while the cooler climates give classic and elegant vegetal notes such as the aroma of elderflower.
Pleasant freshness in the mouth supported by a savory and mineral vein with fruity returns. Great balance and long taste-olfactory persistence.
