Gaja "Sito Moresco" is a blend of Nebbiolo, Cabernet and Merlot.

Full-bodied, smooth, and juicy. Crunchy red fruit aromas follow with notes of red plum and red cherry. These lead to a long-lasting finish with a hint of minerality. The wine is incredibly harmonious in its approachability with a very juicy style, characterized by balance and freshness with ripe and well-integrated tannins.

Sito Moresco is named for the family who farmed this estate in Barbaresco before its purchase by the Gaja family: it means literally the Moresco site, after the family name of Giovannini Moresco. Sito Moresco is made from vineyards located in the villages of Treiso and Barbaresco (in the Barbaresco appellation) and fruit from Serralunga d’Alba (in the Barolo appellation). Pheasants are featured on the label to commemorate the beautiful birds that inhabit the forests adjacent to GAJA's vineyards.

The GAJA winery is widely considered to be one of the greatest estates in the world. Giovanni Gaja founded the winery in 1859, and for five generations it has been a standard-bearer for Piedmontese wine, with Angelo Gaja currently at the helm. Angelo is a rock star of the wine world and an iconic figure in Italian winemaking, credited with making Barbaresco world famous. All GAJA wines are produced exclusively from grapes grown in estate-owned vineyards.
