Domaine Antonin Guyon is one of the most prestigious estates in the Côte d’Or, as well as one of the largest family-owned wineries in the region. Started in the 1960s by Antonin Guyon with parcels of land in Gevrey and Meursault, the domaine is controlled and operated today by Antonin’s sons, Dominique and Michel.

Located just northwest of Beaune and usually overshadowed by neighboring appellations of Aloxe Corton and Beaune, Savigny-Lès-Beaune represents extraordinary value in Burgundy. The soils here are predominantly clay and limestone based. Hand harvested, the grapes are then carried in small wooden boxes to the cellars where they are sorted. Long fermentation takes place for 15 days in wooden open vats at a controlled temperature, with punching down of the cap. Aging in oak barrels (15% new oak) and estate bottling after 15 months.

Very nice purple robe with a nose of small red fruits. Elegant, well balanced with very fine tannins. This wine can be kept for eight to ten years. Serve with roasted meats poultry and soft cheeses.
