Quinta Da Costa Do Pinhão, Vinho Tinto "Peladosa" Douro, Portugal 2015

A gem of a wine from the Pinhao Valley, this deft blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz is juicy and luscious but pinned by great backbone. Stainless steel, natural fermentation with native yeasts, foot pressed with 40% whole clusters and aged for 12 months in French oak. This wine shows lavish blackberry fruit compote, hints of underbrush, lilac and fresh herbs.

A truly full flavored, dense in texture, blue in fruit rich wine that is insanely pleasurable and balanced. Incredible depth of violet and dried purple flowers, forest fruits from the forest floor, blueberry compote, and medicinal herbs. Bright and blue, with firm tannins and finishing with depth and length. Ideal with roasts and stews.
