The Vidal Fleury vineyard of this very vast AOC covers and borders 7 departments on both banks of the Rhône, between Vienne and Avignon. It is one of the oldest controlled designations of origin.
nose dominated by Grenache which offers a beautiful aromatic palette of Morello cherries, chocolate, spices and violets. Its well-structured palate evolves on a large scale and guarantees an explosion of aromas of cherry, spicy blackcurrant and rosemary with a toasted note.
This wine is produced via a long traditional maceration: 2 weeks for Grenache and 3 weeks for Syrah and Mourvèdre. In the beginning, there is a lot of load shedding. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts and maceration at controlled temperature (30°C). Complete malolactic fermentation. Natural clarification and stabilization by successive rackings and absence of fining.
Aging on lees: 70% in vats and 30% in tuns. Aging in bottle: 3 months before shipping.
